Exel Business Review 2010/11

The strengthening global markets, general increase in UK manufacturing and improved new products have seen demand for new business systems increase this year. In addition to increased new business demand, we have had a record number of existing customers upgrade to our latest release of EFACS. Our policy of continuous development of our business solutions maintains our competitive status within the software industry and has resulted in good rates of new business and the retention of existing customers.

We have achieved more than 40 major projects during 2010-2011, which is reflected in a 21% increase in incoming sales orders and an associated 17% increase in turnover when compared to last year’s results. With an increase in pre-tax profit, we continue to demonstrate the effectiveness of our lean business model, whilst continuing to be able to invest in our staff and software solutions. Exel will continue to strive to offer the highest levels of customer service and be focused on producing best-of-breed software enabling the company to continue to grow.

Our established web-based products facilitate centralised data processing with worldwide access. Support, training and project management can be seamlessly offered to our non-UK customers using internet technologies.

EFACS Enterprise continues to attract business from global and diverse industries. The principle of operating on an Oracle database with seamless integration to the Oracle business suite has led to a number of significant deals this year. The integration of Oracle Business Intelligence within EFACS Enterprise gives Exel a competitive edge in the marketplace. We anticipate healthy new business from the EFACS Enterprise business solution this year.

Eagle Field Service, a business management software solution for the field service industry, is attracting new business. Now successfully operational at a number of sites, we continue to implement across a number of business sectors within the service industry. We anticipate significant sales this year as this product becomes further established in the market.
