The Annual EFACS User Group Meeting took place on Tuesday 4th October at The National Motorcycle Museum, Solihull.
After an introduction by the Chairman of the User Group, Jonathan Orme, Darrell Fone and Brian Chandler began the day with a presentation demonstrating the new EFACS CRM and mobile sales force functionality. Following this, Bill Timpson, the MD of Harlow Group shared his experiences of upgrading EFACS and the benefits that they have realised from the upgrade.
Simon Spriggs, from Exel then demonstrated some of the latest developments in the areas of Planned Maintenance and Engineer & Capacity Scheduling. This included showing how some of the recent Eagle Field Service development work is relevant to the wider EFACS community.
Next there was a presentation from Ian Govier, Head of IT & Business Systems from Laidlaw Interiors Group, entitled ‘KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid)’ on how to keep things simple when implementing an IT business system.
Ian Pike from Bioquell Ltd rounded off the presentations with an overview of how Bioquell have migrated from EFACS 8.2.3 to 8.5.6.
The day was brought to a conclusion by a prize draw for an Apple iPad, which was won by Phil Steel from President Engineering Group.
During the breaks and at lunch time the users were able to meet with a number of Exel Implementation Consultants and Account Managers who were on hand to answer any questions.
